How thick is this mat?

Carpet Entrance Mats have a total thickness of 3/8" (about 9mm).

Can these carpeted mats be used on laminate floors? LVT floors?

Yes - Carpet Entrance Mats can safely be placed on any type of real or manufactured hard flooring including wood, laminate, vinyl, tile, marble, terrazzo, LVT, LVP, concrete, etc.

Where are these mats made?

I have an odd-sized space - can you do custom sizes?

Certainly! Carpet Entrance Mats can be made in custom widths from 2' up to 6' and lengths from 1' up to 60' long. The finished mat will still have the black edging on all sides regardless of the size ordered.

Can a wheelchair easily traverse these mats? Can I walk on it with bare feet?

Yes and yes - An individual in a wheelchair (or even someone using a walker) can easily and safely walk across these carpet mats without issue or impedance. Standing on the carpet surface in socks or while barefoot will not cause any discomfort.

How do you clean these mats? Can they be laundered?

Vacuuming is the easiest way to clean virtually all of the day-to-day dirt, dust and debris though the mats can also be shaken out or swept. For a deeper cleaning, the mats can be hosed down (either with just water or using a little dish soap to help get out a stubborn stain). Although our Deluxe Carpet Entrance Mats can safely be laundered in a residential/commercial washer and dryer, these Carpet Entrance Mats cannot.

Are these mats waterproof - will anything leak through them?

The solid vinyl backing on these carpeted entrance mats prevents any liquids from soaking through the mat.

How wide is the black edging?

The black vinyl edging around the perimeter (which is an extension of the vinyl backing) extends approximately 1/2" from the carpet on all sides.

I need to cut the mat to fit around a bookcase. What's the best way to cut the mat?

The best way to cut these mats is using a utility (razor) knife with a sharp blade and a straight edge/ruler. This will give you a clean cut without damage/deterioration.
