The beautiful carnation surrounded by leaves featured on this mat is inspired by an Arts and Crafts wallpaper held in the V&A’s archives. Compton was designed in 1895-6 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton, England, the home of Laurence Hodson, and it was probably the result of a joint effort between William Morris (1834-96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859-1932). All doormats in Entryways' V&A Collection are available in two sizes-18" by 30" and 24" by 36". Every Entryways mat is designed and crafted to be stylish and functional. Made from the best quality all-natural coir to meet the industry's highest standards of durability, Entryways doormats are hand-stenciled with eco-friendly dyes for long-lasting vibrancy.
