7/16" Recessed Grille Mats

7/16" Recessed Grille Mats offer high-impact, vinyl/acrylic tread rails combined with aluminum hinge connectors. The vinyl rails greatly reduce clattering and thus provide for extra quiet performance compared to competitor's products. This recessed metal mat is lighter in weight than traditional all-aluminum mats and can be installed as either a recessed mat or a surface-mount mat.

• These recessed grill mats are designed to allow dirt and debris to fall through mat and off of the surface.

• Recessed Mats roll back and can easily removed for recess cleaning.

• The variety of insert and aluminum finish options offers an aesthetically pleasing metal mat that effectively removes dirt, debris and moisture. Insert styles include heavy-duty carpet, corrugated vinyl and abrasive carbide grits.

• Replacement insert strips are also available.

• Able to fill recesses between 3/8" and 7/16" deep.

• 300 lbs rolling load capacity per wheel.

Can these metal grill mats be made in custom sizes?

Absolutely! Recessed Grille Mats are manufactured to exact specifications including sizing. Custom sizes can be achieved to within at least 1/8" (though potentially to 1/16" depending on the shape of the mat). Notches, angles and completely custom shapes are all easily manufactured to meet the needs of any space and the contours of any floor.

Are samples available for the recess grille mats?

What is the most popular type of insert for the recessed grille mats?

Carpet inserts are by far the most popular insert type for any of our metal floor mats. Carpet is available in the widest variety of colors but also provides an excellent alternative surface to the metal for removing finer particles of dust and moisture.

Metal is certainly an attractive finish but doesn't it get slippery?

Good question. Having an architectural metal floor mat is certainly an eye-catching and visually pleasing entryway flooring option to help clean shoes and boots so that dirt and debris don't get tracked into the building. With a combination of different inserts including carpet, serrated vinyl, carbide grit, etc. these metal mats are still certified to meet both city and state safety standards for use as entryway flooring.  Furthermore, these mats meet or exceed coefficient of friction requirements for use as entrance floor matting.
