What's the difference between the Super Berber Entrance Mats and just the regular Berber Entrance Mats?

Although both products have a similar hobnail surface pattern, just about everything else between them is different. The Super Berber Mats are made of a much heavier-duty, more densely woven surface fabric that is designed for much heavier use in high-traffic locations. This surface material is also able to wick more water from people's shoes to help keep the surrounding floors drier. The backing on the Super Berber matting is made of rubber versus vinyl on the standard Berber product. This Super Entrance Mat also has much heavier-duty, ADA compliant beveled nosing around the perimeter of the mat. Finally, the Super Berber Mats can be made in oversized and custom dimensions as well as just about any size or shape imaginable.

I see custom sizes available in 1' increments. Can the Berber floor mats be made in smaller increments?

Sure thing - the Berber Entrance Mats are offered in 1' increments online though we're able to manufacture these mats in smaller increments to within 2" to 3" (and we'll always err on the side of caution and make sure they're 'as close to but no larger/smaller than' the size you need to ensure it fits the space just right.

Are you able to produce berber mats with any other colors?

Our Super Berber Entrance Mats come in an impressive 39 colors and you can almost assuredly find a color that matches your needs in that product.

We don't want to cut the mat but it a bench sits at the end of the foyer. Can we safely put the mat underneath without damaging it.

You can certainly put the mat under the bench without worrying about it getting stretched or damaged. Alternatively, and especially if you want to take the mat up, you can simply use a razor (utility) knife to cut off this part of the mat without worrying it will unravel or deteriorate from the cut.

Will the berber mat surface feel uncomfortable if I walk across it barefoot?

Not at all. Even people with more sensitive feet can comfortable walk over these Berber Entrance Mats without fear of pain or discomfort.

Berber Entrance Mats are made here in the US from American-sourced raw materials.

Should the berber nubs run front to back or side to side?

The surface pattern of the Berber floor mats is designed to be multi-direction and thus the mats can be laid down either vertically (like a portrait) or horizontally (like a landscape) and it will remove dirt, debris and moisture equally well.

How thick are these mas and will they damage my new flooring?

Berber Entrance Mats are a nominal 3/8" thick (meaning they're slightly less than 3/8" - closer to 1/4" and fit underneath virtually all residential and commercial doors). Also, these berber mats can be safely used on any type of real or manufactured hard flooring including wood, laminate, vinyl, tile, marble, terrazzo, LVT, LVP, concrete, etc.
